ACCENT VOICE STUDIOS at MAC Music Academy
Dr. Rebecca Wilson is a distinguished voice instructor and performer based in McMinnville, Oregon, whose career spans opera, musical theater, and film. She has appeared with the Madison Symphony, Chicago Opera Theater, Union Avenue Opera, Allerton Barn Festival, and Baroque Artists of Champaign among others. In musical theater, her credits include the Joseph Jefferson-nominated Seashore with Tri-Arts, Inc., as well as performances with Quest Theater Ensemble and The Showboat Becky Thatcher.
She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and an Artist Diploma in Opera from Roosevelt University in partnership with Chicago Opera Theater, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Ashland University. Her teaching is further informed by advanced study in Somatic Voicework™ The Lo Vetri Method, Estill Voice, and Speaking and Singing for the Transgender and Non-Binary voices.
Dr. Wilson currently serves as adjunct faculty at Linfield University in McMinnville, Oregon, and previously taught at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, from 2016 to 2023.
Active in the voice community, she served on the board of the National Association for Teachers of Singing’s Chicago Chapter, serving as Director of Auditions from 2022 to 2024. Her students perform regularly in regional and national tours across the country.
